Drift runs locally on your Mac. Timer settings and app preferences are stored locally on your device using standard macOS app storage.

Drift does not collect:

• name
• email address
• contact information
• precise location
• browsing history
• search history
• usage analytics
• diagnostics sent to a server
• advertising identifiers
• purchases or payment information

Permissions

Drift may request macOS permissions so the app can perform its local functionality:

• Accessibility permission, to help control system behavior needed for the fade and sleep flow
• system-level access needed to adjust local audio output and screen brightness on your Mac

These permissions are used only on-device and are not used to collect or transmit personal information.

Data Sharing

Drift does not share data with third parties because it does not collect user data.

Data Retention

Because Drift does not collect personal data, there is no server-side data retention policy for user data.

Children’s Privacy

Drift does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
